We're thrilled to present Burundi coffees from our new partner, JNP Coffee, led by Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian, who champions farmers in her native Burundi, one of the world’s poorest nations. Grown at 1,200–1,950 meters, Burundi Arabica offers bright acidity, sweetness, and full body.

Turihamwe (“together” in Kirundi) is a premium coffee produced by women farmers at Burundi’s first women-owned washing station, built in 2019 by seven women using JNP Coffee premiums. This exceptional coffee boasts sweet, citrusy flavors. JNP Coffee empowers these women by paying them directly, challenging cultural norms, and fostering economic participation. Women reinvest 90% of their income into families and communities, adding value beyond coffee.

JNP collaborates with a 600-member women’s co-op using innovative natural processing and supports the Burundi IWCA chapter with financial literacy and leadership training. In 2019, seven women from Ngozi, part of the Turihamwe Turashoba (“Together we can”) group, produced five high-quality micro-lots and built the Gitemezi wet mill with their savings. These women, among nearly 2,000 others, are saving money and gaining financial skills for the first time. Devil Dog proudly offers their Turihamwe coffee.
