Our Espresso blend draws inspiration from the classic Northern Italian tradition, reminiscent of Trieste’s iconic Illy Caffe, blended with a bold, vintage Seattle roast profile.
Crafted from a unique mix of 100% wet-processed Arabica beans, each component coffee is meticulously tasted daily for quality, roasted fresh every day, and fine-tuned for temperature based on ambient conditions. We’re pretty passionate about the process.
This espresso is full-bodied and richly layered, boasting a thick, lingering crema and remarkable thermal consistency that stays smooth as it cools. Brew at 193-194°F with 9 bars of pressure. For a 1.5-ounce shot (excluding crema), use 18 grams of grounds. The pull is forgiving, with shot times ranging from 18 to 28 seconds. A perfect pour finishes with a subtle, anise flavor.
