A masterful fusion of Java and Ethiopian beans, the Mocca Java blend reimagines the world’s earliest coffee blend. Long ago, the first commercially cultivated coffee came from the Indonesian Archipelago, dubbed “Java” coffees, and from Northwest Africa, including Yemen and Ethiopia, known as “Mocca” coffees—named after Yemen’s historic Mocca port, now silted by a centuries-old sandbar. The robust, full-bodied Java beans harmonize beautifully with the delicate, lighter Mocca beans, as if destined to unite. True to tradition, this blend features only washed coffees from Java’s estates and Ethiopia’s smallholder cooperatives.
