Permata Gayo, a cooperative uniting 50 coffee growers across five villages in the Bandar sub-district of Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia, thrives on collaboration. With FairTrade premiums, the cooperative has acquired agricultural tools and funded environmental education and training initiatives. It also champions women’s empowerment through dedicated programs woven into its operations.
